Hi, I'm Aeryn Fulton, MD PhD, a doctor from Pittsburgh.
Aeryn Fulton's Bio:
Hi! I am Aeryn Fulton, a doctor of medicine and immunology from Pittsburgh. During my first year as an Internal Medicine resident at WVU, I developed health problems of my own. It was a painful decision, but I stepped away from clinical medicine in order to take the time I needed to heal myself. In the process I have learned so much that school alone could not offer me.
Experiencing healthcare as a patient myself helped me develop a deeper sense of empathy so that I can give better care to those who seek my help. Now that I am ready to return to practice,I am using social media to present my story and make myself accessible. I want nothing more than to use all that I have learned, in class and in life, to benefit others. I have seen the enormity of the need, and I cannot sit by and fail to answer the call to service.
